Ethiopian keen to have more destinations in Africa
Addis Ababa, June 12, 2009 (Addis Ababa) - Ethiopian, the national carrier, targets to further strengthen its effort of connecting Africa to Africa and Africa to the rest of the World, Vice President of the Airlines Busera Awel said. Currently, Ethiopian flies to 34 African countries.

Speaking at an occasion organized in connection with the inaugural flight to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, the Vice President said Ethiopian targets to fully cover Africa with air transport.

Busera said the new flight to Equatorial Guinea will help a lot to connect the country to African countries and to the rest of the world.

As of now passengers from Equatorial Guinea do not need to go to Europe in order to go to other African countries as Ethiopian has launched flight there.

Ambassador Sahlework Zewede on the occasion said the launching of air transport between the countries will further take the existing good relations to the highest level.

The airlines targets to launch 20 new flights in Africa in the coming five months.
